Photoshoot at Hadrian’s Gate, Antalya
Three marble arches, almost two thousand years old, at the entrance to the old town. Hadrian’s Gate turns any photo into something timeless, and it’s one of my favourite places in Antalya.
About the place
The gate was built by the Romans in honour of Emperor Hadrian, who visited the city in the 2nd century AD. Its carved columns, warm marble and deep arches make a beautiful, natural frame for couples, families and portraits.
Just through the arches begin the lanes of Kaleiçi, so one session easily combines the gate with the old town and the harbour.
Tips for your shoot
- Early morning is quieter, with soft light on the marble.
- Light, elegant outfits look stunning against the stone; dark colours give a dramatic, editorial look.
- Combine it with Kaleiçi and the harbour in the Advanced package: 3 locations in 2 hours.
