“What should we wear?” is the question I hear most before a photoshoot. The good news: you don’t need anything special. A few simple choices make a big difference, especially in Antalya’s light and settings.

Start with the location

  • Beach and sea: white, cream, sand, soft blue and light pastels. They glow in sunset light and match the water.
  • Kaleiçi old town: warm colours (terracotta, mustard, olive, brown) and flowing dresses look wonderful against the old stone and wooden houses.
  • Hadrian’s Gate and Perge: elegant neutrals or dark solid colours for a timeless, editorial feel against the marble.

Choose fabrics that move

Linen, cotton, chiffon and light knits move beautifully in the sea breeze and photograph softly. Long skirts and dresses add movement when you walk or twirl. Stiff, shiny fabrics tend to crease and reflect light harshly.

Coordinate, don’t match

For couples and families, choose two or three colours that go together and share them out, rather than dressing everyone the same. One person in a soft pattern and the others in plain colours looks balanced and natural.

What to avoid

  • Big logos and slogans: they pull attention from faces.
  • Neon and very bright colours: they reflect onto skin.
  • Busy small patterns, like thin stripes and tiny checks, which can flicker in photos.
  • Brand-new shoes if we’re walking through cobbled streets or on pebbles.

For families with children

Comfort first: kids who feel good smile more. Bring a spare top for little ones (sand and sea happen!), and let them wear something they love. A favourite dress or T-shirt brings out real personality.

Bring a second look

With the Advanced package you can change up to 3 outfits, for example a light beach look at sunset and something dressier for the old town. With both Advanced and Pro, outfit advice before the shoot is included.

Not sure? Send me photos

Message me pictures of what you’re thinking of bringing, and I’ll help you choose. It takes two minutes and makes a real difference.
